• The Music Browser is found at top menubar and is shown with this icon. It's menu allows you to do several things, these will be explained here.

  • Open : Will open an existant texture pack, Filetypes allowed listed below.
  • Music Package *.UMX, meaning, only UT Music Files.
    this action will do the same as the small folder icon.

  • Save : This is more like some Save as ... since you will be presented with a dialog box that will allow you to specify a Music song name, altough the name will already be given according to the currently selected song in the Music browser.
    This action will do the same as the small disk icon.

  • Import : This allows you to import Song files with the name you can specify then in the selector. These filetypes are allowed for import >
  • Amiga Modules : MOD
  • Scream Tracker 3 : S3M (the UED preffered type)
  • Scream Tracker 2 : STM
  • Impulse Tracker : IT
  • Fasttracker2 : watch out, no given extension
  • Farandole : FAR
  • ComposD : 669
  • WAV : You can import Wave files, but this is madness, since they are huge.
    No icon is made available for this action.

  • Export : This allows you to export the selected song.
    As i said in the import properties, the S3M is the preffered type, so when exporting, the S3M format will be chosen automaticly.

  • Play : This will play the currently selected song, but there's a small trick here.
    the music and sound browsers will only perform a Play request when you are in one of the 3D views, if you are in Top Front or Side view, nothing will happen.
    Another very important thing some people forget very often is that, when you request the song to be played, the game settings have to allow music play, this means, put the musics volume to something more than 0.
    It happens often that people put the music OFF in game, when trying to listen to some module here in UED, this volume will still be at 0, remember this.

  • Stop : What to say except that this will stop the currently playing song.

  • Docked : Docked will dock the Texture Browser with the main browser or other opened browsers. for best workaround dock all browsers togheter. This action will do the same as the small multi window icon.
